Roll Call:  Present: Supervisor McKerchie, Clerk Scott, Treasurer Luttenbacher, Trustees:  Corba, Preseau, Ridley, Zinn.

 

Absent: None

 

Previous Minutes:  Moved by Corba, seconded by Ridley to accept the minutes of the previous meeting as presented.

Motion carried.

 

Building Inspector’s Report:  For August was presented by Palmer.

 

Bills: Bills in the amount of $85,563.33 were presented.   Moved by Corba, seconded by Preseau to pay the bills in the amount of $85,563.33.

ROLL CALL:  Yeas – Zinn, Ridley, Preseau, Corba, Zinn, Scott, McKerchie

                        Nays – None.  Motion carried.

 

Additions or Changes to the Agenda: 

            1.         Add #9, Michigan Department of Transportation, Resolution #10-01-01-36, widening I-75 from M-57 to

                        I-475.

            2.         Move #4, Fay Latture to #1.

            3.         Add #10, Trick or Treat hours.

 

Park and Rec.:  Was presented by Corba.

 

Metropolitan Alliance Report:  Was presented by Corba.

 

Correspondence: 

            1.         Letter of resignation from Beverly Williams.

            2.         Letter of resignation from Judy Lee.     

 

Supervisor’s Report: Was presented by Supervisor McKerchie.  The Saginaw St. water and sewer line will start Oct. 15th.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

1.         Fay Latture, Community Survey.  Fay Latture spoke of the results of the Community Survey.

 

2.         Clio-Thetford-Vienna Building Authority (Resolution No. 10-01-01-34).  Moved by Corba, seconded by McKerchie to adopt Resolution No. 10-01-01-34.

            ROLL CALL: Yeas – Preseau, Corba, Luttenbacher, Scott, McKerchie, Zinn

                                    Nays – Ridley

            Motion carried.

 

3.         Abandoned property, (Resolution No. 10-01-01-35).  Moved by Corba, seconded by Zinn to adopt Resolution No. 10-01-01-35.

            ROLL CALL:  Yeas – Preseau, Corba, Luttenbacher, Scott, McKerchie, Zinn, Ridley

                                    Nays – None

            Motion carried.

 

4.         Agreement with Genesee County Metro. Planning Comm. (Permanent Monument on Township Hall Property).  Moved by Zinn, seconded by Corba to approve the agreement with G. C. Metro Planning Comm. to install a permanent monument on Township Hall property.  All in favor.

 

5.         Educational request for Carrie Bock.  Moved by Corba, seconded by Zinn to grant the educational request for Carrie Bock.

                                    Nays – None

            Motion carried.

 

6.         Educational request for Sue Thomas and the new employee.  Moved by Corba, seconded Ridley to grant the educational request for Sue Thomas and the new employee.

            ROLL CALL:  Yeas – Preseau, Corba, Luttenbacher, Scott, McKerchie, Zinn, Ridley

                                    Nays – None

            Motion carried.

 

7.         Appreciation dinner, October 19, 2001.  Moved by Corba, seconded by Preseau to allow all Township Boards, Employees, Sheriff Department and their spouses to attend the Appreciation dinner.

            ROLL CALL:  Yeas – Corba, Luttenbacher, Scott, McKerchie, Zinn, Ridley, Preseau

                                    Nays – None

            Motion carried.

 

8.         Clio Lions Club (permission to distribute mints, Oct. 5 & 6, 2001).  Moved by Corba, seconded by Zinn to allow the Clio Lions Club to distribute mints Oct. 5 & 6, 2001.

            All in favor.

 

9.         Widen I-75 from M-57 to I-475, (Resolution No. 10-01-01-36).  Moved by Corba, seconded by Preseau to adopt Resolution 10-01-01-36.

            ROLL CALL:  Yeas – Luttenbacher, Scott, McKerchie, Zinn, Ridley, Preseau, Corba,                         

                                    Nays – None

            Motion carried.

 

10.       Trick or Treat hours.  Moved by Corba, seconded by Preseau to adopt the City of Clio’s Trick or Treat hours for October 31, 2001, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. the Fire Stations will be open for the kids to visit, trick or treat hours will be 6:00 – 8:00.  All in favor.
