ROLL CALL:		Supervisor McKerchie, Clerk Scott, Treasurer Luttenbacher
		Trustees:  Corba, Ridley, Preseau

The meeting was called to order to discuss with Attorney Stout the possibility of putting the Fire
Hall issue on the August 6, 2002 ballot.
Stout stated that the Township has followed the procedure correctly regarding establishing
the Special Assessment.
PA33 indicates that a Township can  Special Assess to build a Fire Hall without a vote
of the electors.  A motion could be made to put the issues on the ballot.  Stout recommended that
the board heavily consider putting the issue on the ballot.
Moved by Corba, seconded by Scott that the question of constructing a fire hall in the Charter
Township of Vienna and financing the same by a special assessment under Act 33 of 1951 be
submitted to the electors of the Township as provided in MCL 41.801(3) at a special election to be
held at the same time as the August 6, 2002 primary (Resolution No. 05-28-02-09).

The meeting adjourned at 8:45 a.m. with a follow up Committee of Whole meeting scheduled on
Thursday, May 30, 2002 at 7:30 a.m. to approve the ballot language.
