Comments:
1. Mayor Yost spoke for the Clio Board that the City of Clio is for the current Fire Authority and wants the
Authority to continue.  He also feels that the Fire Authority should handle more of the internal problems.
Yost stated that Thetford & Vienna Twps. Are full and equal partners with Clio.
2. Clerk Hobson, Thetford Twp. Clerk, stated that she likes the Authority the way it is and feels that it's
better for Vienna Twp. To build their own station.
3. Kerr, Thetford Twp., is in support of the Authority the way it is, with one Chief and the chain of command.
4. McKerchie, Vienna Twp. Supervisor, supports Vienna paying for the station, and will offer training for
all fire fighters.
5. Zinn, Vienna Twp. Would like to renew the agreement with the Fire Authority.
6. Supervisor Hatchett, feels that Vienna and Thetford should have it's own Chief so there's no lack of
communication.  At the last Board meeting Thetford unamiously passed Resolution No. 02-11-10-179,
stating that Thetford will not give any funds to Vienna to build the Fire Station.
7. Morningstar, City of Clio, supports Chief Bronson.
Moved by McKerchie, seconded by Kerr to issue a Joint Press Release between the three municipalities stating
that the City of Clio, Thetford Township and Vienna Township support and will honor the present Fire Agreement
and that Vienna Township will move ahead to build it's own Fire Station. All in favor.
Comments from the Floor
1. Paul Edie, Thetford Twp., feels that there should have one Chief and would like everyone to work together.
