Item #1: Future Parks & Recreation Plan on page 19.

Bob Palmer said that a 5 year plan has been adopted by the Parks & Recreation
Board. He would like to add a purchase of approximately 40 acres for something like
a nature park, pavillions, nature trails, and maybe a community center. Another idea
was to extend the bike path west to Montrose Township where they are constructing
a park on the river. Maybe expand the Sports Complex to the east into Thetford
  Township.

Mayor Yost said the City wants to cooperate with us and thinks the park is a great
idea. He thinks connecting to the west with Montrose is good, but suggests we
check with them as to what they are planning so there isn't a duplication of services.

Mike Zinn suggested a community garden at the park site. Residents
who do not have the space could utilize this area.

Item #2 Residential Area on page 29.

Board members were in agreement that this section was representative
of what they wanted to see in the area.

Item #3 Commercial area on page 31.

Much discussion west of the expressway on M-57. It was agreed to make changes
to two areas. First Linden Rd north of Field is designated Office/Research. That will
be changed to single family residential. Secondly the need for two densities in the
Multi Family area, with the difference being only the density.

Chairperson Curtis and Bob Palmer will meet with Vilican-Leman to
discuss these changes.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:35pm.
