| Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. | |
| Present: | Vernon Curtis, Gery Giltinan, Ben Ranger, Lee Garner, Scott Preseau, Max |
| Schweitzer, Dale Frappier, Doug Chilson, Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson. | |
| Minutes: | Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Frappier to approve the minutes of June 9, 03 |
| as presented. All ayes, motion carries. | |
| Motion by Garner, seconded by Schweitzer to approve the minutes of June 16, 03 | |
| as presented. All ayes, motion carries. | |
| Petitions: | 1. JCL Garage Doors, 11325 N. Saginaw Rd. Site Plan Review to add storage units |
| to his property. Jeff Ferweda was in attendance to present the project. He explained | |
| that this was the second time this project was before the Board. The first was a | |
| change of use, from a Church to JCL Garage doors. Those first plans did show the | |
| proposed storage units. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the audience. None. | |

| Curtis said that the allowable building height is 30' not 40' as the plans show. | |
| The drain on the south side to be dug deeper, blocked off at SW corner, and used in | |
| place of a detention basin, per GCDC. It was noted that water will not be laying | |
| stagnate in this basin. | |
| Giltinan said the sign on the plan only says JCL Garage doors, not storage units. | |
| Bob Palmer said he could place a 40 sq. ft. sign on the end of the first storage unit. | |
| Motion by Ranger, seconded by Preseau to final site plan approval to JCL Garage | |
| Doors to add storage units. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries. | |
| 2. Special Land Use, Scott Nichols, 9125 Webster Rd. for a pond. | |
| Secretary Garner read the Notice of Public Hearing. | |
| Scott Nichols was present and said the dirt from the pond would be used as backfill | |
| for new construction. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the audience. | |
| Marlene Fenlon. 9083 Webster Rd. asked what affect this pond would have on her | |
| well. Bob Palmer said the pond would have no affect whatsoever, that there is a lot | |
| of water in the area. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the Board. | |
| Curtis said that a pond requires 3 acres and Mr. Nichols only has 2.74, so he will | |
| have to go before the Zoning Board of Appeals. | |
| Mr. Nichols said he would, and that he planned to move the house over so that there | |
| will be at least 50' between the house and the pond, and that he will add a safety | |
| station. | |
| Motion by Ranger, seconded by Giltinan to table the Special Land Use Permit. | |
| Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries. | |
| 3. Final Site Plan for Vienna Meadows Phase 2. | |
| John Roy was present and said he had all his permits, and phase 2 was essentially | |
| the same as phase 1. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the audience. No comments. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the Board. No comments. | |
| Motion by Ranger, seconded by Schweitzer to approve the final site plan for Vienna | |
| Meadows Phase 2. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries. | |
| Reports: | Pond Committee. The committee visited 9125 Webster Rd. and said the site was |
| good, but the problem was he didn't have the required 3 acres. | |
