CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	SEPTEMBER 13, 2004
	PUBLIC HEARING, VIENNA TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE
	Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Gery Giltinan, Ben Ranger, Kathy Ridley, Doug Chilson, John Krieger,
	Max Schweitzer,  Bob Palmer,  and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	None.
Minutes:	Motion by Ranger , seconded by Ridley to approve the minutes of  08-23- 04
	as presented. All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/	None.
Changes:
Petitions:	None.
Unfinished Bus.	None.
New Business:	Public Hearing for Vienna Township Ordinance.
	Chairperson Curtis open the Public Hearing.
	Claude Coates, Vilican-Leman, was present to explain the changes and answer
	any questions.
	No Audience was present.
	Bob Palmer said this was a long process, we have worked on it a long time and he
	is happy with the final result. He said it is more detailed, allows for taller buildings,
	calls for smaller signs unless they are down low, eliminated almost all of the split
	zoning, and it follows the Master Plan. He recommends adoption.
	A definition of a bed & breakfast will be added to the definitions, and all three
	residential zoning districts.
	Motion by Ranger, seconded by Chilson to recommend adoption of the Ordinance
	to the Township Board adding bed & breakfast to definitions and the three
	residential districts.
	Voting yes:  Ridley, Ranger, Krieger, Chilson, Schweitzer, Giltinan, Curtis.
	Voting no: None.
	Motion carries.
	Meeting adjourned at 6:55pm.
