CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	12-Jul-04
	Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Max Schweitzer, Ben Ranger, John Krieger, Gery Giltinan, Robert
	Palmer, and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	Kathy Ridley, and Doug Chilson.
Communications	Siding World called and said they had no objection to the project.
	Proposed Ordinance changes from Vilican-Leman.
Minutes:	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Krieger to approve the minutes of 6-28-04.
	All ayes. Motion carries.
New Business:	Public Hearing: Mark Avery, Special Land Use for a driving range.
	Secretary Giltinan read the Notice of Public Hearing.
	Mark Avery was present and spoke on his project. He has hired an excavator to level
	the front part of the property,and that he planned to leave the back part of the property
	as it is.
	Audience Comments: None
	Board Comments: Bob Palmer asked if the driving range would be lit and was told no
	only the parking lot in front. Bob also said this property had been okayed for a
	driving range a few years ago.
	Schweitzer asked about the zoning.
	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Giltinan to approve the Special Land Use Permit
	for Mark Avery to build a Golf Driving Range. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	The Pond Committee will do a site visit on the Wright Pond on 7-13-04.

	Motion to adjourn by Schweitzer, seconded by Krieger. All ayes. Meeting adjourned
	at 6:18pm.
