CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	JULY 26, 2004
	Vice-Chairperson Ranger opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of
	Allegiance.
Present:	Gery Giltinan, Ben Ranger,  Kathy Ridley, Doug Chilson, John Krieger, Max
	Schweitzer, Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	Vernon Curtis.
Minutes:	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Chilson to approve the minutes of 7-12-04
	as presented.  All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/	None.
Changes:
Communications:	Letter from Steven Gardner saying he couldn't come tonight. He enclosed a new
	Soil Erosion permit.
Repts of Comm.	The Pond Committee will present their report at the next meeting.
Petitions:	1. Set Public Hearing for Benjamin & Laura Wright for a pond.
	Secretary Giltinan read the Notice of Public Hearing and made the motion, seconded
	by Schweitzer. Voice vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	2. Public Hearing, Adaptive Motion Control Systems Rezoning.
	Secretary Giltinan read the Notice of Public Hearing and made the motion, seconded
	by Ridley . Voice vote. All ayes, motion carries.
Unfinished Bus.	None.
New Business:	1. Clio Sand & Soil. Bob Bernhoft was present and said they are continuing to dig
	in the back and are smoothing the lots at the front for possible sale in the spring.
	He also said the entire project should be finished within one to two years.
	Bob Palmer said he will make a site visit and report at the next meeting.
	2. Gardner site. See Communications.
	3. Bob Palmer said the three mining operations should be inspected every annually.
	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Chilson to have the three mining operations
	inspected every summer, in June. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	4. Avery Driving Range. Mr & Mrs Avery were in the audience and asked for Site
	Plan approval. The driveway may be moved to the South from what shows on the
	plans because of a fire hydrant. They do not have a MDOT driveway permit yet
	but have applied. They will put landscaping in the front and have a lit sign 50-75 sq.ft.
	The project should be completed within two months.
	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Ridley to table the application until the MDOT
	permit is received and the prints reflects the landscaping and sign site.  Roll call
	vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	The meeting was adjourned at 6:55pm.
