Gaines, Gaines Township and Mundy Township all moved up to the 2005 cycle of CDBG Funds.

There is a possibility of leftover monies ($50-100,000) from past CDBG Funds. These monies could possibly be recaptured if we show that we have an existing on-going project. April 1^st is when it will be determined where this money will go.

Vienna Township had used their own seed money (approx. 40,000 – 50,000) for a road project that we may be able to recapture. In order to have a chance at getting this money back for the senior project, we need to:

A. Ask the Vienna Township Board to make a motion to hire an architect for

The Senior Center Project. This has to be done at the March 1^st meeting,

in order to meet the April 1^st deadline. (Bid process)

B. Ask the Vienna Township Board to make a motion that we ask the County to reimburse us the seed money, to use toward the Senior Center

Project.

C. Hire the architect at the next township meeting on Monday March 15^th.

(Preliminary design may be needed, to show county)

D. Send copy of the minutes showing that we have established a project, hired an architect for the project, and a letter requesting to be reimbursed our seed money. This has to be received by the county by the end of March.
