Herb Nelson, Dick Taylor, Kathy Taylor, Ann Anderson, Jan Dunlay, Pat Zauner,
Ike Ferrier and Joyce Tingley.

Previous
Minutes: Motion was made by Ike Ferrier and supported by Kathy Taylor to
approve the minutes of 12-02-04.All yeas; motion passed.

Old
Business: Tony McKerchie will handle utilities.
Herb
stated that John Gleason would meet with the state regarding our project.
We
were all urged to attend the Vienna Township Planning Commission meeting at
6:00 PM on Feb. 14, 2005 to support the second reading of the special land use
for our project.
Jim
Sporee presented a drawing of the detailed site plan.
Ann
will attempt to arrange a day trip for members to visit either Battle Creek or
Rochester to study a lap pool. Possible dates were Feb. 12th and 19th.
Tony
McKerchie met with the demo. company this morning. They will remove the
structure, cap the well, remove the fence and remove debris.
A
public hearing on our project will be held by Vienna Township, closer to the
construction date. We can use this as a means of promoting more interest
Also
suggested was an open forum at the Senior Center in May. Dick Scott suggested
extensive publicity for these meetings and inviting business people who might
contribute to the project.
Audrey
Howell took photos for the Historical Committee
Greg
Mason, CHMP presented new drawings of 12,410sq. Ft. building (both interior and
exterior). Details of kitchen design will be discussed with Kerchman Kitchen
Consultants, of Bay City. Mr. & Mrs. Dahle will attend this meeting because
of experience and interest in this area.
Tony
stated that our committee would be part of the ongoing project until
completion.
We
discussed “Gateway to Health” as a possible slogan for the pool phase or the
entire project.
Herb
will contact Health Plus and try to interest them in an affiliation with the
project.
We
need to market the project to raise funds for extras. Kathy Taylor announced
the Celebrity Server Dinner at the Clio Big Boy on April 14th,
between 4:00 and 8:00, which will benefit this project.
Next
meeting February 24, 2005 at 10:00 at the Vienna Township Hall.
