CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	NOVEMBER 14, 2005
	Vice-Chairperson Ranger opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of
	Allegiance.
Present:	Gery Giltinan,  Doug Chilson, Max Schweitzer, John Krieger, Mike Zinn, Ben Ranger,
	Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	Vernon Curtis, and Doug Chilson.
Minutes:	Motion by Zinn, seconded by Krieger to approve the minutes of October 24, 2005
	as presented.  All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/	None.
Changes:
Comm:	None.
Repts of Comm:	None.
Petitions:	1. Michael Byler, 11421 N. Saginaw Rd. was present requesting a Special Land Use
	to open a Retail Used Car Business with Outdoor Sales. The building is existing and
	is presently a Auto Service Center. Mr. Byler will use the front 900 sq. ft. for his
	business.
	Audience Comments:
	1. Kevin Lonsway asked the location of the business.
	Board Comments:
	1. Max Schweitzer said Mr. Byler meets the minimum land and frontage requirements.
	2. Ben Ranger asked if the Special Land Use stays with the building or goes with the
	owner. Bob Palmer said it stays with the business.
	3. Mike Zinn said this was an appropriate use for this building.
	4. Max Schweitzer asked if Mr. Byler has bought other property and plans to move this
	business in the future and was told yes.
	5. Ben Ranger asked about lighting in the parking lot and was told there was a flood
	light on the north side. He also asked if the two businesses will share the dumpster,
	and that he would like it to be enclosed.
	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Zinn to approve the Special Land Use application
	with the requirement of the dumpster being enclosed.
	Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.

	The meeting was adjourned at 6:17pm.
