VIENNA TOWNSHIP SPECIAL BOARD MEETING									proposed

The meeting was called to order at  5:30 p.m.
Roll Call:	Present:	Supervisor McKerchie, Clerk Scott, Treasurer Luttenbacher
		Trustees:  Fuller, Ridley, Zinn, Taylor
Public Comment:
	1.	Herb Nelson, thanked the board for their support for the Senior community and stated that the Seniors
		support the Board.
	2.	Jack Edwards, 4480 Lake, stated his concerns about the two mileages being passed.  The Board is
		dealing with that issue.  The Township will make a decision once Genesee County guarantees the
		amount that the Township will receive from the County mileage.
	3.	Dick and Kathy Taylor, 545 Allen, thanked the Board for all of their help.
	4.	Ann Anderson, Senior Center Director, invited people to the "Ground Breaking" ceremony, September
		6, 2006, at 6 p.m.
New Business:
		Accept bids for work to be done on the construction of the new Senior Center.  Moved by
		Luttenbacher, seconded by Ridley to accept Siwek's construction bid, including alternates numbers
		1 - Lawn irrigation, 2 - Sidewalk, 3 - Carport, and alternate number 5 - Built-in Furnishings.  The
		total amount of the bid with the alternates is $1,899,069.00.
		The Township will secure a 15-year loan in the amount of $1,900,000.00.  The Township will also have
		approximately $140,000.00 in Community Development money that can be allocated towards the
		construction.
