| Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. | |
| Present: | Vernon Curtis, Doug Chilson, Max Schweitzer, Ben Ranger, Gery Giltinan, Mike |
| Zinn, Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson. | |
| Absent: | John Krieger. |
| Minutes: | Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Zinn to approve the minutes of February 27, 2006 |
| as presented. All ayes, motion carries. | |
| Additions/ | 1. Bob Palmer said Robert Garrow was present and wished to have their final site |
| Changes: | plan review, since they missed the meeting on 2-27-06 when they were on the |
| agenda. Chairperson Curtis said they could be on the agenda for the next meeting on | |
| March 27, 2006. | |

| Petitions: | 1. Public Hearing, John Woodruff, 13026 N. Saginaw Rd Rezoning. |
| Mr. Woodruff was present and he said this house is a rental that his renters would | |
| like to purchase. They cannot get financing because the zoning is Commercial. He | |
| is asking that the Planning Commission recommend rezoning from C-2 to RSA. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the Audience: | |
| 1. Connie Keith, 133 Griffes St. said she was the mail lady there for 25 years and the | |
| use has always been residential. | |
| 2. Kevin Lonsway, 5200 W. Vienna Rd. asked if they could rebuild if the house burns. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the Board. | |
| 1. Ben Ranger said the Master Plan for future land use shows multi family in that | |
| area. | |
| Motion by Ranger, seconded by Chilson to recommend to the Township Board | |
| rezoning from C-2 to RSA at 13026 N. Saginaw Rd. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion | |
| carries. | |
| 2. Public Hearing, Amjad Ishak, 13167 N. Saginaw Rd. Special Land Use for outdoor | |
| sales. | |
| Mr. Ishak was present and said to keep his dealer's license, because of new state | |
| rules, he has to have an approved lot. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the audience. None. | |
| Chairperson Curtis opened comments to the Board. | |
| 1. Bob Palmer said there has been a complaint about a light shining in windows, and | |
| that the back property by the swamp is cluttered and since the parking lot was done | |
| it doesn't drain as well as before. He also said Mr. Ishak doesn't intend to keep cars | |
| there, he just wants to keep his dealer's license. It is not a proper fit with the party | |
| store. | |
| 2. Mike Zinn asked if he would make a new drive and was told no. | |
| 3.Vernon Curtis asked how big the lot would be and was told there is 30' on the north | |
| end where he will park the cars. | |
| 4. Doug Chilson ask where he sells his cars now and Mr. Ishak said he doesn't sell | |
| cars, that he just has a dealer's license. | |
| Motion by Ranger, seconded by Zinn to approve the Special Land Use for outside | |
| sales at the north end of the property at 13167 N. Saginaw Rd. | |
| Ben Ranger asked if there would be another sign and was told no. | |
| Bob Palmer said Special Land Use stays with the property, not the owner. | |
| Mike Zinn said there are a lot of used car lots already on Saginaw Rd. | |
| Bob Palmer said his recommendation is that it doesn't make sense to be there. | |
| Roll call vote: | |
| Voting yes: Chilson, Ranger, Zinn, Schweitzer, Curtis. | |
| Voting no: Giltinan. Motion carries. | |
