CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	DECEMBER 11, 2006
	Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Gery Giltinan,  Doug Chilson, Max Schweitzer, Ben Ranger, Mike Zinn,
	Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	John Krieger.
Minutes:	Motion by Schweitzer, seconded by Zinn to approve the minutes of 11-27-06 with one
	correction.  All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/	None.
Changes:
Comm/Visitors:	Several visitors from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades were present
	as a portion of their training.
Repts of Comm:	None.
Petitions:	1. Set Public Hearing for Kathryn McAllister, Special Land Use to open a Bed and
	Breakfast.
	Secretary Giltinan read the Public Notice and made the motion to set the Public
	Hearing for January 8, 2007. Seconded by Zinn. All ayes, motion carries.
	Audience Comments:
	Bob Palmer explained the process of a Special Land Use,  under what circumstances
	it is used, and how it applies to this application.
	The visitors had several questions on various parts of the process.

New Business:	None.
	The meeting was adjourned at 6:50pm.
