CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	NOVEMBER 24, 2008
	Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Gery Giltinan, Ben Ranger, Mike Zinn, Max Schweitzer, Doug
	Chilson, Pat Bowdish, Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	None.
Minutes:	Motion by Zinn, seconded by Chilson to approve the minutes of 10-27-2008
	as presented. All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/	None.
Changes:
Communications	Notice from the Township saying they are adopting a family for Christmas if anyone
	wants to participate.
Petitions:	None.
Unfinished Bus.	None.
New Business:	1. Review of an example ordinance for a Wind Energy Conversion System.
	Bob Palmer said this is not a good area for a wind farm, but feels we should probably
	have an ordinance to deal with it on the chance someone asks.
	The Commission will review the example ordinance as it pertains to the Township
	and a single residential user.
	2. Review annual report to the Township Board.
	Chairperson Curtis explained this is a requirement of the new Enabling Act, and
	asked the Commission if they had any suggestions. It was decided to add any
	training the Commission attended and a note at the end in summary.
Other Business:	Discussion on the proper way to notify members if a meeting has been cancelled.
	It was decided the secretary will e-mail a notice, and call the one without e-mail.
	The meeting was adjourned at 6:45pm.
