VIENNA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING Proposed
MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2009

Roll Call: Present: Belill, Scott, Luttenbacher, Fuller, Ridley, Taylor, Zinn
Previous Minutes: May 18, 2009.  Moved by Zinn, seconded by Ridley to approve the minutes with the following 
corrections. There were 7 new hires, and 1 firefighter has resigned.  Moved by Zinn, seconded by
Scott to approve the amended agreement and have the BDA reimburse the township.
Bills: Bills in the amount of $39,905.48 were presented.  Moved by Luttenbacher, seconded by Ridley to 
approve the bills as presented.  After discussion it was decided to remove the following bills:
G.C. Road Commission for $2,605.29 and MidState Alarm for $265.00.  The bill for Michigan Township
Association ($5,616.94) will be removed and brought up as an agenda item.  The new total of the bills
is $31,418.25.

Building Report: Palmer presented the report for May, 2009.
Senior Report: Theresa July, Assistant Senior Center Director, discussed how the Senior Center is looking into
cutting back on expenses. 
Changes to agenda: Addition of the Michigan Township Association membership dues.
Correspondence: Sue Newman, 13120 Cottonwood, read a letter to the board stating her concerns about the insurance
for the elected officials being dropped.

New Business:
1. Michigan Township Association dues.  Moved by Ridley, seconded by Zinn to approve paying the 
amount for the 2009 - 2010 dues.

Nays - Fuller, Taylor Motion passed
2. An ordinance of the Charter Township of Vienna entitled "Public Safety and Fire Emergency Response
Cost Recovery Ordinance:, first reading.  Moved by Scott, seconded by Taylor to suspend from the
reading. All in favor
3. Closed session to review a letter from Attorney Doerr, subject to attorney/client privilege.  Moved by
Scott, seconded by Luttenbacher to go into closed session at 6:12 p.m., to discuss the letter from
Attorney Doerr subject to attorney/client privilege.

Belill, Scott, Luttenbacher, Fuller, Ridley, Taylor and Zinn went into the closed session at 6:12 p.m.

6:48 p.m.
Moved by Ridley, seconded by Taylor to close the closed session at 6:48 p.m.

Moved by Zinn, seconded by Scott to have the Assessing Department compile information showing
the discrepancies found with the pictometry program. All in favor
Board Comments: Zinn asked what's the progress of the new personnel policies and procedures manual.  Belill stated
that changes are still being done on the manual.
Scott stated that the Regional Planning Board is having a meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2009,
5:30 p.m., at the Thetford Senior Center.
Moved to adjourn at 6:48.
