VIENNA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
MONDAY, JULY 20, 2009, 5:30 P.M. proposed

Roll Call: Present: Supervisor Belill, Clerk Scott, Treasurer Luttenbacher
Trustees:  Fuller, Ridley, Zinn
Absent: Taylor
Previous Minutes: June 15, 2009.  Moved by Ridley, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve the minutes as 
presented. All in favor
Bills: Bills in the amount of $127,023.78 were presented.  Moved by Luttenbacher, seconded by 
Zinn to approve the bills as presented.  
ROLL CALL: Yeas - Luttenbacher, Fuller, Ridley, Zinn, Belill, Scott
Nays - None Motion passed
Fire Authority Report: Palmer reported that the venting at the station will be repaired soon.  Zinn reported that the
Fire Department will no longer be assisting with non-emergency calls, due to costs.  The
Authority had a Extrication training for the north end departments.  The departments worked
together to test different equipment to determine what would work best.  The Authority will
be hiring a secretary for the department.
Library Report: Zinn reported that the Library had to buy a new condenser for the building and are looking
into enclosing the dumpster.
Additions: None
Correspondence
1. Jack Edwards, Senior Center representative, gave the Energy Conservation report for the
Senior Center.
2. Supervisor Belill read a letter from Board of Commissioner Archie Bailey asking for support
for the G.C. Health Care Services at Hurley Medical Center.
Public Comment:
Dorothy Tarrant, Senior Center representative stated that the audit for the Senior Center
has been completed.
Unfinished Business: Senior Center and Fire Station building repairs.  Palmer informed the board that he is 
working with the Attorney concerning the repairs and who is responsible for the costs of
repairs.  He stated that more information is needed for the attorney to make a 
determination.
New Business:
1. Heidi Phaneuf, G.C. Metropolitan Planning Commission.  Ms. Phaneuf spoke about the
Trolley Line Trail.  The Clio path that heads to the County Line is almost finished.  A
grant from the Mott Foundation will be used to put in a new signage system.  The Clio
path is approximately 9 miles long and is the 2nd longest path in Genesee County.
2. Jennings Road driveway repairs.  Moved by Belill, seconded by Ridley to repair the 6 drive-
ways that were tore up by the G.C. Road Commission.

Nays - None Motion passed
3. "On the Right Path" road race, Resolution No. 07-20-09-15.  Moved by Scott, seconded by
Ridley to adopt the resolution.
ROLL CALL: Yeas - Ridley, Zinn, Belill, Scott, Luttenbacher, Fuller
Nays - None Motion passed
4. Senior Center van discussion.  Palmer stated that the engine on the van seized up and
was not worth repairing.  The van was purchased with Community Development money.
G.C. Community Development will have to be contacted to determine what can be done 
with the vehicle.
5. Senior Center trip policy.  The trip policy was discussed and will be brought back for 
further discussion at the next meeting.
Board Comment: Luttenbacher asked about the progress of the personnel policy.  Belill stated that she will
present it to the board within the next month.
Moved to adjourn at 7:00 p.m.
