| 1. | Public hearing, 2010 Community Development, Citizens Needs Hearing. Moved by Zinn, | ||||||||
| seconded by Scott to open the Public Needs hearing at 1:04 p.m. | All in favor | ||||||||
| Palmer stated that Vienna Township expects to receive approximately $13,606.00 of | |||||||||
| CDBG funds. The funds are provided by the Genesee County Community Development | |||||||||
| Program from an annual entitlement grant received from the U.S. Department of Housing | |||||||||
| and Urban Development (HUD). | |||||||||
| Public Comment: | |||||||||
| 1. | Herb Nelson, 1385 W. Vienna Road, suggested using the money | ||||||||
| for sewer on Saginaw Rd. and the Senior Center | |||||||||
| Palmer suggested to the board that they use the money for the following projects: | |||||||||
| 15% towards Senior Center support | |||||||||
| Waterline on Saginaw Rd. | |||||||||
| Waterline on Wilson by Linden | |||||||||
| Partnership with Mott College | |||||||||
| Phase 4 of the Senior Center | |||||||||
| Moved by Zinn, seconded by Luttenbacher to close the public hearing at 1:14 p.m. | |||||||||
| 2. | Trolley Line Trail Intermunicipality Study Committee discussion. There is an interest in | ||||||||
| developing a trail pathway from Genesee Township to Bridgeport Charter Township. | |||||||||
| Information is needed with respect to potential benefits, development and operation costs, | |||||||||
| etc. The municipalities deem it advisable to retain professional assistance to undertake | |||||||||
| a study. There will be more discussion at the next meeting. | |||||||||
