CLIO AREA FIRE AUTHORITY
	MEETING
	JANUARY 12, 2010
	The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Zinn, who led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members Present:	Mike Zinn, Paul Luttenbacher, Shelly Ayotte, John Congdon, Bob Smith, Dennis Fuller,
	and Eileen Marshall.
Members Absent:	None.
Also Present:	Chief Domerese, Asst. Chief Paulson, and Batt. Chief Bloss.
Visitors/Comm:	None.
Communications:	Thank you from the family of Art Scott.
Minutes:	Motion by Smith, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve the minutes of 12-8-09.
	All ayes, motion carries.
Bills:	Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by Marshall to pay the bills in the amount of $22,316.96
	Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
Treasurer's Rept:	The report was given by Paul Luttenbacher. Motion by Marshall, seconded by Ayotte to
	accept the report as presented.
	All ayes, motion carries.
Chief's Report:	The Chief's Report was given by Chief Domerese.

Old Business:	None.
New Business:	1.  Purchase requests:
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve $1392 from Acct # 978
	for 36 pairs of gloves. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve $904 from Acct 979 for
	batteries, blades, and foam eductor.  Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Smith to approve $ 5694.30 from Acct # 977 for
	annual scba testing and annual compressor maint.
	Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve offering the City $100  for
	their used copy machine. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Ayotte to hire Dan Hippensteel.  All ayes, motion
	carries.
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Congdon to hire Richard Charvat. All ayes, motion
	carries.
	Motion by Marshall, seconded by Luttenbacher to remove Ben and Nicole Turner
	from the department because they have moved. All ayes, motion carries.
	Motion by Ayotte, seconded by Marshall to take bids for the new fire truck. Roll call
	vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	Treasurer Luttenbacher said he has received three bids to do the audit.
	Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by Ayotte to hire Plante Moran to do the audit.
	Voting yes: Congdon, Luttenbacher, Marshall, Smith, Ayotte, Zinn.
	Voting no:  Fuller.                                   Motion carries.
Other Business:	1. Monthly run report.

Board Comments:	1. Chief Domerese noted that there is no capital outlay in the new proposed budget.
	The next regular meeting will by February 9, 2010, 4:30pm at St # 2
