CLIO AREA FIRE AUTHORITY
	MEETING
	OCTOBER 9, 2007
	The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Phillips, who led the Pledge of
	Allegiance.
Members Present:	Dave Phillips, Bob Smith, Paul Luttenbacher, Cassie Schiebel, Dennis Fuller, Shelly
	Ayotte, and John Congdon.
Members Absent:      Luttenbacher, and John	Cindy Hicks.
Also Present:	Asst. Chief Paulson, and Batt. Chief Bloss.
Visitors/Comm:	None.
Communications:	1. Thank you letter from Burton FD.
	2. Thank you from Thetford PD
Minutes:	Motion by Ayotte, seconded by Fuller to approve the minutes of 9-11-07 as
	presented. All ayes, with J. Condon abstaining. Motion carries.
Bills:	Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by Ayotte to approve the bills in the amount of
	$ 31,980.65.  Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
Treasurer's Rept:	Motion by Smith, seconded by Schiebel to approve the report as presented. All ayes,
	motion carries.
Chief's Report:	1. Purchase request. Batt. Chief Bloss submitted a purchase request not in the
	packets.
	2. Resignations of two firefighters.
	3. See attached report.
Old Business:	None.
New Business:	1. Motion by Fuller, seconded by Smith to accept the resignation of Aaron Snider.
	All ayes, motion carries.
	2. Motion by Fuller, seconded by Luttenbacher to accept the resignation of Troy
	Herriman. All ayes, motion carries.
	3. Motion by Smith, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve the purchase of  $500
	from Acct 978.  Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	4. Motion by Smith, seconded Luttenbacher by to approve the purchases from Acct 337
	for $ 1127. Discussion on what else will be needed for the training tower. K. Bloss
	said nothing. He also said they will charge other departments who use the tower a
	fee to cover the cost of materials used, with the fee coming back to the Authority.
	Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	5. Motion by Ayotte, seconded by Schiebel to approve the purchase from Acct 979
	in the amount of $2180. Discussion on whether this could be covered by Insurance.
	Will check with the Insurance Company to see if it's covered. Roll call vote. All
	ayes, motion carries.
	6. Motion by Fuller, seconded by Luttenbacher to authorize Chief Domerese to sell
	the old radio equipment. All ayes, motion carries.
Other Business:	Monthly run report.
Board Comments:	Bob Smith said there will be a haunted house at the Amphitheater, Oct. 19,20,26,27,
	and 28th.
	Shelly Ayotte said there will be a Halloween Party at Thetford October 26th, 6-9pm.
	The next regular meeting will by November 13, 2007, 4:30pm at St # 2.
	The meeting was adjourned at 5:15pm.
