CLIO AREA FIRE AUTHORITY

MEETING

NOVEMBER 10, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 4:30pm by Chairperson Zinn, who led the Pledge

of Allegiance.

Members Present:

Mike Zinn, Dennis Fuller, John Congdon, Bob Smith, Paul Luttenbacher, and Shelly

Ayotte.

Members Absent:

Eileen Marshall.

Also Present:

Chief Domerese, Asst. Chief Paulson and Batt.Chief Bloss.

Visitors/Comment:

None.

Minutes:

Motion by Fuller, seconded by Ayotte to approve the minutes of 10-13-09 as presented.

All ayes, motion carries.

Bills:

Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded Smith by  to approve the bills in the amount of

$54,394.12. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.

Eileen Marshall arrived at 4:40pm.

Treasurer's Rept:

The Treasurer's report was given by Paul Luttenbacher.

Motion by Smith, seconded Fuller by to accept the Treasurer's report as presented.

All ayes, motion carries.

Chief's Report:

The Chief's report was presented by Chief Domerese.

Old Business:

1. Letter from John Congdon addressing the clerical position.

Chief Domerese presented the job description for the clerical position with changes.

S. Ayotte said in looking over the SOP's she's unsure if they pertain to the firefighters

or clerical, or both. They need to be clarified.

Chief Domerese will, at the next meeting, address vacation, pay rate, work hours etc.

for the clerical poition.

2. Treasurer Luttenbacher said he has received two bids for the annual audit. One from

Lewis & Knoph, and the other from Plante Moran.

New Business:

1. Ink Cartridges for $ 147.97 from Acct # 740. Motion by Marshall, seconded by

Luttenbacher. Discussion on why so much ink is needed. Roll call vote. All ayes,

motion carries.

2. Monitor and scanner for $ 294.99 from Acct # 807. Motion by Marshall, seconded

by Fuller to approve the purchase. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.

3. Pack of AED pads for $175 from Acct # 835. Motion by Marshall, second by Fuller

to approve the purchase. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.

4. Air hose reel for # 21 for $79.99 from Acct # 930. Motion by Marshall, seconded by

Fuller to approve the purchase. Discussion: The reel is spring loaded. Roll call vote.

All ayes, motion carries.

Other Business:

Monthly run report.

Board Comments:

Mike Zinn reported that Chief gave a talk at Rotary about the Department. The

Rotary will meet at St #1 in December so everyone can tour the facility.

Dennis Fuller asked about the White Oil cost recovery and if they have said they will

not be paying. He said they have pulled a cleanup permit at the Township.

The next regular meeting will be December 8, 2009 at Station # 2.
