CLIO AREA FIRE AUTHORITY
	MEETING
	SEPTEMBER 8, 2009
	The meeting was called to order at 4:30pm by Chairperson Zinn , who led the Pledge
	of Allegiance.
Members Present:	Mike Zinn, Bob Smith, Paul Luttenbacher, Shelly Ayotte, Dennis Fuller, and John
	Congdon.
Members Absent:	Eileen Marshall.
Also Present:	Chief Domerese, Asst. Chief Paulson and Batt.Chief Bloss.
Visitors/Comment:	None.
Minutes:	Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by Smith to approve the minutes of 8-11-09.
	S. Ayotte made one correction. Under Old Business discussion she said mechanism,
	not authority. All ayes, motion carries.
Bills:	Motion by Smith, seconded by Luttenbacher to approve the bills in the amount of
	$ 25,220.57.
	Voting yes: Zinn, Congdon, Fuller, Smith, Luttenbacher.
	Voting no:  Ayotte.                Motion carries.
Treasurer's Rept:	The Treasurer's report was given by Paul Luttenbacher. He said the Budget vs Actual
	page at the top, under 4070 does not show the full income. It will be updated.
	Motion by Smith, seconded by Fuller to accept the report as presented.
	All ayes, motion carries.
Chief's Report:	The Chief's report was presented by Chief Domerese.
	1. Purchase request
	2. Mark Holland to the Support Group
	3. Four month leave of absence for Ben & Nicole Turner
	4. October's meeting can be held at Station # 2.
	5. Firehouse magazine with feature the White Oil fire in their December issue and
	possibly a photo by Paul Luttenbacher on the cover.

Old Business:	None.
New Business:	1. Remove Mark Holland from active to Support Group. Motion by Fuller, seconded by
	Smith to remove from roster and place into Support Group. All ayes, motion carries.
	2. Grant four month leave to Ben & Nicole Turner. Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by
	Smith to grant the four month leave of absence. All ayes, motion carries.
	3. Training Class for $500 from Acct # 337. Motion by Fuller, seconded by Smith to
	approve the class. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	4. Spyware and Battery backup for $419.45 from Acct # 807. Motion by Smith, second
	by Luttenbacher to approve the purchase. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	5. Couplings for fire hose and nozzle repair for $ 921.80 from Acct # 977. Motion by
	Luttenbacher, seconded by Smith. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	6. Gloves for $175 from Acct # 978. Motion by Fuller, seconded by Smith. Discussion
	and Fuller withdrew his motion. This items will be included with purchases on the
	next page from Acct # 979.
	7. Several items that were damaged in the White Oil Fire for Clio, Mt. Morris and
	Genesee Fire Depts. Discussion on whether Mt Morris and Genesee FD items
	should be purchased before the Insurance cost recovery is paid. If the Insurance
	Company doesn't pay we will be out a lot of money. Motion by Smith, seconded by
	Luttenbacher to purchase just Clio's portion, $10,005.85 from Acct # 979, and $200
	from Acct # 930 for brackets for gear rack at St # 2. Roll call vote. All ayes,
	motion carries.
Other Business:	Monthly run totals. Fire Run 208 should show as a Thetford fire.
Board Comments:	1. Bob Smith said great job at the White Oil fire, on behalf of the City, thank you.
	2. Paul Luttenbacher said he always wanted one of his photos on the cover of a
	magazine.
	The next regular meeting will be October 13, 2009 at Station # 2.
	The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 pm.
