CLIO AREA FIRE AUTHORITY
                                       MEETING
                              FEBRUARY 8, 2011
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Zinn, who led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members Present: Mike Zinn, Paul Luttenbacher, Bob Smith, John Congdon, Jim Waner, Eileen Marshall,
and Clyde Howd.
Members Absent: Shelly Ayotte.
Also Present: Chief Domerese, Asst. Chief Paulson, and Batt. Chief Bloss.
Visitors/Comm: Public Hearing, 2011/2012 Budget
No citizens present.
Communications: None.
Minutes: Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by Smith to approve the minutes of 1-11-2011.
All ayes, motion carries.
Bills: Motion by Luttenbacher, seconded by Howd to pay the bills in the amount of $15,333.80.
Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
Treasurer's Rept: The report was given by Paul Luttenbacher. Motion by Congdon, seconded by Waner to  
accept the report as presented. All ayes, motion carries.
Chief's Report: The Chief's Report was given by Chief Domerese.
1. Purchase request.
2. Report.
Old Business: 1. Budget Approval/Discussion.
Luttenbacher presented three options to save money in the budget:
1. Cut the Recognition fund contribution to $10,000 from $20,000.
2. Cut out the $25 per meeting for the Board.
3. In Acct# 807 lower the amount for a video camera from $1000 to $500.
Discussions included: The Recognition fund is in great shape, enough money to pay
retirees this year, so the amount can be lowered.
Not paying the Board members for meetings. Howd said he thinks that Board members
have to be paid, and he will check on this. The Board thinks a good video camera will
cost under $500. 
Motion by Marshall, seconded by Howd to approve the Budget, as amended, to include
$10,000 to the Recognition fund, and Acct # 807 $500 for the video camera
New Business: 1.  Purchase request:
     Motion by Marshall, seconded by Ayotte to approve $200 from Acct # 976 for two 
     answering/fax machines. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
Other Business: 1. Monthly run report.
2. Annual Report.
Board Comments: 1. Bob Smith said good job on the house fire in the City.
2. Shelly Ayotte said they had found an old burn permit from 1951 and the wording was
    almost the same as it is today.
The next regular meeting will by February 8, 2011, 4:30pm at St # 2
