CLIO AREA LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
DECEMBER 8, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by President
Mike Zinn. Those present were Mike Zinn,
Sue Thomas, Sandra Vuillemot, Gregg Bryan, Eileen Marshall, and librarian
Darwin McGuire. Those absent were Sue
Smith and GDL representative
COMMUNICATIONS: The Review Magazine from the Municipal League and the 1099 Forms will be filed.
MINUTES: A motion
by
LIBRARIAN’S REPORT:
Door count is still very strong and circulation is down but that is due
to the hours that have been cut at the library to meet its budget. Those hours have been cut 43% since
2009. The Karate demo was held November
6th with 26 adults, 10 children and 2 teens attending for a total of
28. The Clio Book Club net November 2nd
with 7 people in attendance. December 9th
at 2:00 p.m. will be a Resume Writing program and on Thursday the 16th
at 2:00 p.m. a follow up program will present Interviewing Skills. Remember the Used Book
BILLS: A motion by
S. Thomas to pay the bills in the amount of $3.091.31 for the month of
November, 2010, seconded by
TREASURER’S REPORT:
A motion by
OLD BUSINESS: Terminex will send a refund in the amount of $508.52 for the cancellation of the contract. Orkin will begin treatments on December 23, 2010. In the spring repairs need to be made to the bike rack out front. It also needs to be secured to the concrete. The rack does get a lot of use during the warmer months.
NEW BUSINESS: Since
the Winicoff Fund has over $1,000.00 of interest accumulated a motion was made
by S. Thomas to have
