PROPOSED
FORFEITURE ORDINANCE
An Ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances of the Charter Township of Vienna by adding Ordinance Number ___, which will provide for the forfeiture of controlled substances, products, or property used or intended to be used in manufacturing, compounding, processing, delivering, importing, or exporting any controlled substance, property which is used or intended to be used as a container for any controlled substance or manufacturing agent of a controlled substance, any conveyance, including an aircraft vehicle or vessel, used or intended for use to transport or in any manner facilitate the transportation for the purpose of sale of any controlled substance, any books, records, research products, or materials used or intended to be used in violation of this Ordinance, anything of value that is furnished or intended to be furnished in exchange for a controlled substance, any money which is found in close proximity to any property subject to forfeiture under this Ordinance, and to provide for the seizure and ultimate disposition of all property or monies obtained in violation of this Ordinance.

That pursuant to MCLA 42.23 the Code of Ordinances of the Charter Township of Vienna, Michigan, is hereby amended through adoption of Sections 333.7501, 333.7502, 333.7504, 333.7505, 333.7507, 333.7511, 333.7515, 333.7516, 333.7521, 333.7522, 333.7523, 333.7524, 333.7524a, 333.7525, 333.7527, 333.7531, 333.7533, 333.7541, 333.7543, 333.7544, and 333.7545 of the Michigan Compiled Laws Annotated.
This
Ordinance shall be published in a newspaper circulated within the Charter
Township of Vienna,
This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after publication.
A
copy of this Ordinance and the sections of the Michigan Compiled Laws which
have been adopted by reference can be inspected or obtained at the Charter
Township of Vienna Hall,
This proposed ordinance will be brought up for final reading and possible adoption on September 17, 2007.
