CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	MARCH 9, 2009
	Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Doug Chilson, Gery Giltinan, Ben Ranger, Max Schweitzer, Mike Zinn,
	Bob Palmer and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	Pat Bowdish.
Minutes:	Motion by Ranger, seconded by Chilson to approve the minutes of 2-23-09 as
	presented. All ayes, motion carries.
Additions-
Chgs:	None.
Comm:	Bob Palmer presented photographs of the Age V facility in Davison and said it was
	the nicest one he has seen.
	Kathy Gibson, 4275 W. Farrand Rd. said she didn't like that the man from Age V said
	this is the way it will be or no way.
Petitions:	None.
Unfinished
Business:	None.
New Business:	Ben Ranger asked if the Township had submitted a proposal for the Stimulus Program.
	Bob Palmer said they submitted a $2.5 million dollar plan.
Ordinance
Text Chgs:	During the public hearing for Age V, thru a letter from the State of Michigan, it was
	discovered there was a discrepancy in our Ordinance. Article # 22, Section 10 State
	Licensed Adult Foster Care, b should be deleted, c should read " No building shall be
	located closer than 40 feet to any property line. Front yard setbacks shall be 65 feet,"
	and e should read " The gross land area of the site shall not be less than fifteen
	hundred (1500) square feet for each bed in the care facility. This land area shall provide
	for on site water supply and sewage disposal as well as provide for landscape setbacks,
	off street parking, service drives, loading space, yard requirements and space for
	accessory uses." All paragraphs to renumbered accordingly.
	Motion by Ranger, seconded by Zinn to submit the above changes to the Township
	Board for adoption. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
