CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	MARCH 12, 2007
	Chairperson  Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Doug Chilson, Max Schweitzer, Ben Ranger, Mike Zinn, Bob Palmer,
	and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	John Krieger and Gery Giltinan.
Minutes:	Motion by Ranger, seconded by Schweitzer to approve the minutes of 2- 26- 07 as
	presented.  All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/Chgs:	None.
Comm:	None.
Repts of Comm:	None.
Petitions:	None.
Unfinished Bus.	None.
New Business:	1. Revised By-Laws.
	Motion by Zinn, seconded by Ranger to adopt the revised Planning Commission
	By-Laws. Roll call vote. All ayes, motion carries.
	2. Katheryn McAllister, Minutes of 1-8-07.
	Mrs. McAllister spoke with Chairperson Curtis and said she disagrees with items 3
	and 4 under Board Comments. She said she answered yes to both questions and the
	minutes say she answered no. She does want a commercial kitchen and to cater.
	Motion by Schweitzer to add an addendum to the minutes of 1-8-07 that Mrs.
	McAllister is allowed to have a commercial kitchen and cater.
	Discussion by the Board if this a proper solution. Schweitzer withdrew his motion.
	Motion by Ranger to set another Public Hearing under Special Land Use, Home
	Occupation, to discuss the catering issue.
	Discussion by the Board if this is needed. Ranger withdrew his motion.
	It was decided that as long as Mrs. McAllister operates under the Home Occupation,
	such as no employees, nothing else is required.
	3. Discussion on Menard's. The Board discussed what are proper questions for the
	Commission to ask Menard's. Attorney Peter Doerr offered his opinion in a letter.
	The meeting was adjourned at 6:35pm
