CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF VIENNA
	PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
	AUGUST 24, 2009
	Chairperson Curtis opened the meeting at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:	Vernon Curtis, Gery Giltinan,  Doug Chilson, Mike Zinn, Ben Ranger, Pat Bowdish,
	Bob Palmer, and Mary Johnson.
Absent:	Max Schweitzer.
Minutes:	Motion by Ranger, seconded by Zinn to approve the minutes of August 10, 2009 as
	presented. All ayes, motion carries.
Additions/Chgs.	None.
Communications:	None.
Rept. of Committee:	None.
Petitions:	1. Thomas Simaan was present for a Site Plan review at 2181 W. Vienna Rd. to open
	a liquor/party store.
	Audience comments: None.
	Board comments:
	Bob Palmer said this used to be a Doctor's office. It will be a small remodel, and he
	recommends approval.
	M. Zinn asked if he was the same person doing the Sport's Bar in the same complex
	and Mr. Simaan said yes.
	G. Giltinan asked if he planned to move walls, the hours of operation and about a sign.
	Mr. Simaan said he  will move walls, add coolers and a service counter. The planned
	hours of operation will be 10am to 10pm, and there will be one sign on the front of the
	building and possibly one on the existing sign.
Unfinished Bus:	1. Report on video.
	Chairperson Curtis said he has spoken with Desiree Londrigan at Mott to see if they
	have a class that might make the video. He also said he had brought the project to the
	BDA and they might possibly fund it. When everything is in place he will bring it back
	to them.
	B. Ranger said the Regional Planning Board has a program like we want to do and he
	will bring information to the next meeting.
